| chillin near chicago. in the process of playing a couple shows with A Life Once Lost. damn this band is too good. great dudes too. for rill.
we're touring with Widow Song (fucking BADASS sludge metal from tulsa, OK/tyler, TX). it's only like a week and a half, and the dates are listed on our myspace and their myspace. it's old news, i know.
my last day at my design job at Outdoor Cap is december 7th. fuck i'm gonna miss that job, but i desire to play music and tour as long as i can. it's definitely a dream of mine, so i'll stick with it. plus, my boss at OC said that they liked me there a whole lot and that i can return whenever i need to, but it'd have to be for full time.
robyn and i found a duplex. $450 a month for two bedrooms, hard wood floor, garage, and laundry room (w/out washer and dryer though). i'd say that's a badass deal if i've ever seen one. plus it's in a pretty good part of town... near Southside High School sorta. i'm freaking excited about decorating shit and getting a new tv. and also about being able to spend some quality time with my wife!
bradley hathaway has a freaking published book. wtf? i'm lost. and confused. |

| hola from omaha, Nebraska.
tour's been nothing but incredible. at least 400 kids each night.
things are looking up. we might be doing a few shows with A Life Once
Lost before thanksgiving.. just a little under a week's worth of dates
i think, that'll be amazing.
it turns out i might not be able to work at my badass job at Outdoor
Cap for very long. i talked to my boss and told him that there's a
chance we might be touring way too frequently, and he said that it was
fine and that i could totally come back and work for them whenever i
was ready to commit myself full-time, since i had been doing a great
job there the past month. i'll miss it, but music is my true
aspiration. so, it looks like i'll be living in fayetteville swinging
from job to job. which is fine. as long as robyn and i are happy, we
don't need a shit-ton of money.
oh yeah, i saw minus the bear last friday. amazing show. criteria,
headphones, and the new trust were really good too. minus the bear just
might be my favorite band next to GlassJAw and Cave In.

| bout time for an update i guess.
sweet damn i love my job. and it has definitely made me realize a thing
or two about life and labor in general. my advice is to NEVER work for
a family owned business. shit never gets done, and they are way too
anal about you making unnecessary use of every second you have downtime.
me getting paid 9.50 an hour to design hats all day in front of a Mac
(mind you, others i work with get paid 14 plus an hour)... it just
makes me realize how underpaid people are working construction, fast
food, etc.
what i'm saying is... learn art.
